Scholarship Description:
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) is a renowned medical research center. It focuses on interdisciplinary research and training in both basic and clinical sciences. The center has produced six Nobel Laureates, 25 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 17 members of the National Academy of Medicine, and 14 HHMI investigators.
The research group studies inflammatory diseases of the digestive system and liver using genetics and immunology. Through large-scale genomic sequencing, they identify new pathogenic genes and investigate immune mechanisms caused by single-gene defects, advancing personalized treatment development.
