Scholarship Description:

Zhong Weiguo, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Department of Organizational and Strategic Management at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management. He is a doctoral advisor and the Director of the Peking University Institute for Strategic Studies. A recipient of the “Guanghua-Risun” Young Scholars Award and an Excellent Young Scientist Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation, his research areas include industrial and regional economics, digital economy, innovation strategy, and corporate internationalization.

Professor Zhong’s work has been published in leading journals such as Management World, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of International Business Studies. He has led and participated in over 20 national and provincial research projects, including major initiatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has received numerous awards for his research, including the First Prize for Outstanding Research Achievements from the Ministry of Education, the First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Jiangsu Province, and multiple Best Paper Awards from the Academy of Management.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Ph.D. in Economics, Management Science and Engineering, Information Systems, Strategic Management, or related fields. Candidates with backgrounds in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Automation who are particularly interested in corporate management are also warmly welcomed.
  • Must have received a Ph.D. within the last three years and be 35 years old or younger.
  • Demonstrated passion for research, commitment to academia, strong English writing skills, ability to conduct independent research, and ambitious research goals.
  • At least 2 SSCI papers as the first author or 1 paper in a leading journal.
  • Successful candidates must work full-time at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management during the contract period and cannot hold concurrent positions.
