Scholarship Description:
The lab is part of the Department of Biomedical Data Science at Dartmouth College. We develop computational methods to study the genetics of human diseases, particularly cancer. Additionally, we utilize next-generation sequencing technologies to understand disease mechanisms, and we have accumulated a large dataset. Our areas of interest include cancer genomics, functional genomics, statistical genetics, and single-cell sequencing experiments and analysis. The lab’s principal investigator, Siming Zhao, has published as the first or co-first author in journals such as Nature Genetics, Science, Nature Communications, and PNAS. The lab is currently funded by the NIH and Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine.

Eligibility criteria:
- We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics or statistical genetics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and research experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, genetics, computer science, or a related field. Experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data is highly desirable. Candidates should possess programming skills and a strong mathematical background, with knowledge of cancer genomics or human genetics.
