Scholarship Description:

Dr. Chang Wang will join the University of Oklahoma’s Stevenson School of Biomedical Engineering as a tenure-track assistant professor in Fall 2025. He completed his postdoctoral research in Professor Yizhou Dong’s lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. from Lehigh University and his bachelor’s degree from Tianjin University.

His laboratory focuses on the design and development of next-generation drug delivery systems aimed at achieving precise and efficient delivery of therapeutic drugs across complex biological barriers. The research integrates bioengineering, nanotechnology, and gene medicine to address unmet challenges in human health.

Available Subjects:

  • Utilizing lipid nanoparticles and other biomaterials to overcome biological barriers for targeted delivery of nucleic acids, proteins, and small molecules.
  • Implementing non-viral gene delivery and synthetic biology strategies for immune cell engineering, aimed at advanced immunotherapy.
  • Developing bifunctional conjugates for the selective degradation of disease-related macromolecular targets.

  • Dr. Wang’s laboratory is actively recruiting members, including postdoctoral researchers, visiting scholars, PhD students, and research assistants/associates.
