Scholarship Description:
Lin Sien is a Principal Investigator at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, CUHK, and a PhD supervisor at Macau University of Science and Technology and Guangdong Medical University. He is also a distinguished professor at Huizhou Central People’s Hospital. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Orthopaedic Translation and World Journal of Orthopedics, and reviews for the NSFC, MRC, and NWO.
His research focuses on stem cell-based tissue engineering for bone and cartilage regeneration, as well as the development of new drugs and technologies for osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. He has published over 100 papers in journals like Nature Communications, Advanced Science, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Biomaterials, with over 4,600 citations and an H-index of 37. He leads numerous research projects funded by the NSFC, RGC, NSFC-RGC joint program, ITF, and HMRF. His academic achievements have received several international awards, including the Asian Innovation Award and the ICRS Young Investigator Award.
