Scholarship Description:
Dr Qian Lou is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UCF. Previously, he was a Senior Research Scientist at Samsung Research AI Center, where he won the Best Paper Award. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Indiana University Bloomington, where he was awarded the Outstanding Research Award.
Dr Lou is committed to proposing new technologies to solve real-world problems, and his experience in industry and academia will help him to mentor students in a systematic way. Students in his group will have many opportunities for recent publications, conferences and summer internships. All students in his group have published top papers within a year without any research experience, such as ICLR, NeurIPS, DAC, CVPR.
Dr Lou has also served as an organiser, committee member and reviewer for several conferences and platforms such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ECCV, AAAI, FHE.

- Systems for Applied Cryptography:Fully Homomorphic Encryption, Zero Knowledge Proof, Computer Architecture, Hardware Acceleration.
Eligibility criteria:
- Basic requirements: positive and friendly, high GPA (e.g. GPA>87), usually internally driven, English grades meet school requirements, no research experience required.
